My 14 year-old dd auditioned last Saturday for a high school community choir that will travel to Europe next summer. The director told her everyone would get an email, and that she should know by the end of the week. IT'S THE END OF THE WEEK!!! We still haven't heard anything. I was hoping there'd be an email waiting this morning, but no. I think (no, I know) that I am more anxious than she is! I hope she makes it, she felt really confident in her audition, but she is very young, competing against 18 year-olds! Oh, well, I'll "practice my patience." (That's what I always tell my kids we're doing when we have to wait somewhere...we're just practicing our patience!)

She made it!!! Yay!!! I didn't get the email until 8:00 this evening. We are very excited, especially dh, who will be going as a chaperone! Thanks for all of your good wishes.

Thanks! They will be going to several cities in Austria, Germany and Italy. (Including Vienna, Munich, and Rome!) It's so funny...I've always been the one to chaperone on her church and choir trips, (to exotic places like St. Louis, Chicago, and Detroit LOL) but my dh is suddenly intersted in chaperoning! Actually, I'm really glad...I think it will be a wonderful father/daughter memory. Plus, logistics-wise, it makes more sense for me to stay home. (It's a ten day trip.)
