Scooby Doo Party

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive August 2004: Scooby Doo Party

I'm not sure if this post belongs here or under Parenting but anyway....

My son will be turning 5 on October 21 (where has the time gone!). He wants a Scooby Doo Party. Any ideas?????????

There are LOTS of Scooby party items out there right now. Party favors, plates, decorations, etc. You could make a "pin the tail on Scooby" game, make dog bone shaped snacks or sandwiches, things like that. I don't think you'll have any trouble coming up with things. Of course, the ladies (and men!) here are great with stuff like this, also. You'll probably get some very creative ideas! :)

Another cute idea is to get inexpensive dog bowls for them to eat out of. We have a restaurant close to us that is called the thirsty dog and all kids meals come in a dog dish. LOL Dd loves to eat there because of that!! And she gets a cookie in the shape of a bone after dinner!!

My DS had scooby doo when he turned 2 in January!! Lots of cute things :)
We have a scooby doo cake pan. The kind that you decorate yourself with little "frosting stars". It turned out great.
I've seen tons of supplies at wal-mart. Plates, napkins, crepe paper etc. etc.
Also....I saw some "SCOOBY SNACKS" at Wal-Mart in the cracker aisle. They look JUST like dog-bones but they are crackers!! My DS loves them! He thinks they are very cool :) It even says SCOOBY SNACK on each bone....just like real dog treats!

I don't have a picture with me where I am at right now but I made a dog bone cake for a scooby doo bday party. It was for a teenager so it was psycadellic colors but you could do any colors you want. let me know if you want me to post the pic.
