I feel like I'm going crazy

Seems to be a lot of these type of posts today. Lately(the past few months) I have felt COMPLETELY unmotivated to do anything! I'll let my house go for a couple of days, then I feel sooo overwhelmed, I don't even know where to begin! Everything sets me off! My DH could look at me a certain way and I jump all over him. I used to not be this way. I really don't like the new me, whatever it is. It's so hard to explain really. I feel like I can't sit still, but at the same time nothing gets done. My husband thinks I'm miserable in the marriage. That's completely not true. I love him dearly. He's usually very understanding, but lately he's been getting a little angry. Does anyone have any advice?? I feel like I'm not really making any sense! lol TIA

This is the time of year that often sends people into depressive states. The summer is just about over. The unstructured summer vacation days are waning quickly, and it's time for drastic changes in our daily schedules. The days are getting shorter, and we are running around getting back to school plans accomplished....not as much time in the sunshine or enough rest. For most, this will be a situational depression, that will be short lived, but for others, it could be just the start of a full blown depressive episode. If these feelings continue for more than two weeks, you should get to a mental health screening. Do not go to your Family Doctor. He is not equipped to treat you for this problem!!!! You will probably need both psychothopic medication and some talk therapy. Your reactions to the medication must be checked often during your early therapy....AT LEAST WEEKLY. You need an emergency hot line number to call if your feelings overwhelm you. Please don’t treat this lightly. Please get help. You really don’t have to feel this way.

I'm right there with you, Nikki. The past two days I've been so off. Not me, knowing I'm losing it and still, not being able to do a thing about it. Half the time I feel like I'm watching someone else. I hope this passes quickly. :(
