By Trisa on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 - 08:19 am:

Wow im sure I have missed alot while I
have been gone. WE are finally all moved in.
I have tons of painting to do and I have some border picked out at the Home Depot I am
going to put up. Our neighbors are so great here.
The lady next door have 2 girls ages 2 and 4
so My daughter has kids to play with. My son who was sooooo worried about moving made frineds right away. Im fact some days when we have 7 kids in our yard I am telling kids to go home!
We are still church hunting. We did go to one Sunday that we liked. School starts Monday and Ryan is excited to start a new school. We are taking the kids to Dutch Wonderland tomorrow.
We have lots of Amish that go buy everyday. Monday
is Auction day and we have heavy Amish traffic that day. Keirra loves to sit outside and watch them go by. She waves at them and jumps up and down. Most all do wave back. Only a few look at you like a look that says you sinner!! LOL
Hope you all had a nice sumer. Can't believe its almost over. I have missed this place!! Trisa

Welcome back! You are so lucky that you live by the Amish!I am always so intrigued with their way of life.I bet the area is beautiful.
When we moved here 6 years ago my kids started school 2 days after we moved in.
It was hectic but fun !
Enjoy meeting all your new friends !

Yes it is so neat to watch them.
We have tons of road side markets and grocery outlet stores here. My grocery bill has gone way way down.

Yes I about died when I saw Turkey hill ice
cream for only $1.70! And Ice cream bars for 50 cents a box and brand name french fries for 99 cents a bag! The one grocery store sells tons of Amish baked goods!

Welcome back, Trisa - we missed you! How in the world do the Amish sell brand name foods for so cheap?! I wish! :)

It is wonderful that your dks have friends at their new home, that is very important. Have you made any friends? We would love to see a picture of your new home!

you are so lucky! Look at all the $$$ you are going to save on groceries!
I try to go to shipshewanna (an amish community) about 2x a year.
It`s an hour and a half a way though . My friend and I stock up on groceries ,we bring my van and a big cooler.
We are also both intrigued by the amish life style so when we go again we are having lunch with an amish family in their home !
We are both excited. I`ll let you know how it goes.
Sounds like you moved to a really cool area.
I hope you and your kids like the schools also.
Have you seen the movie for richer or for poorer?
If not,you will have to rent it.
It`s about a couple that lives briefly with an amish family. It`s funny.

No I have never seen that movie.
I will have to rent it. Yes I have made friends
with my neighbor. We took the kids to the park yesterday and went swimming last week. She is VERY nice.
