Must be right...

I am sure you have to wash them, and judging from most shirts I've gotten from the gap, they probably have to be ironed as well. Which one are you looking at?

Feona, half my wardrobe is from the GAP. IF they are the shirts that are part stretch, wash them, use a fabric softener in the rinse, dry them for just a few minutes in the dryer, and then hang them up for drying. If you do that with the ones that ARE PART STRETCH COTTON, they will dry nicely on the hanger without ironing.

If they are 100% cotton without any spandex/stretch in them, you may have to iron them. My experience with 100% cotton is that MOST of them need ironing.

However, I've gotten my son some from the GAP that ARE 100% cotton, no spandex, and following the instructions I gave above, they dried nicely and needed no ironing.

My scrub tops that are 100% cotton ALWAYS need ironing, even if I take them out of the dryer and put them on a hanger to air-dry. It seems the ironing softens them up a little, since they are stiff from air-drying. If I dry them in the dryer, though, they are harder to iron, so I usually don't let them to in the dryer.

My kids' denim jumpers did great being hung up, though. I usually didn't have to iron them, unless I did to get the hems flat. (I'm sad that they are too big for denim jumpers now! They always looked so cute when they were little!)

No clothes for me from The Gap. Nearest one is about 45 minutes away. Too much of a pain to go that far!

Dawn, I'm a huge GAP online sale buyer. I know what sizes fit me and I get everything I buy from the GAP on sale, mostly online, but sometimes in the stores. And I never pay shipping online.... there's always some sort of GAP coupon around.
