Has anyone ever had...

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive August 2004: Has anyone ever had...

cramping (like period cramps) all month? I posted a while back that I thought I might have been pregnant, well, I started and then after I got "off" I am still cramping now and it has been 4 days later. I guess I just don't like to call the doctor, maybe one of you have some insight.

When I called the doctor at the beginning of the month she said it might be a cyst (sp?) on my ovary and if the pain got any worse to call back. But then I started my period and now I am cramping again (but not horribly bad). Does anybody have a clue as to what is going on? because it doesn't make since to me. This has just started happening since the middle of last month.

It gets worse when I eat spicy foods, but it is not in my stomach (like an ulcer, I guess would be) it is where I cramp and feels like I am about to start AGAIN. Please any insight would be GREAT.

I don't know what to tell you except to call your doctor.

I am not sure either, but I wanted to share with you that I too have had cramping in between periods that feel like "period" cramps, sometimes it would be just on one side, so for a while I thought maybe it was my appendix, but it turned out it was on the wrong side! The only connection I could find with the cramping was it would happen after my yearly pelvic exam, and last on and off for a few months afterward. My doctor said it could have been the latex gloves, but she wasn't sure, and since I haven't had any problems for a while, I have let it go. Check with your doctor, just to be safe, maybe just call an advice nurse and ask questions over the phone.
