VERY PERSONAL

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive August 2004: VERY PERSONAL
By Rayanne on Sunday, August 15, 2004 - 07:01 pm:

Ok, I have a little problem. I am extremely sensitive to this subject and hope that no one judges me or thinks of me differently after reading this. I am not posting anonymous because I really need advice.

Ok, here it goes......Sometimes when Chris and I mess around, and play with eachother before we are intimate, he will make me have an orgasm. This is fine, and I have never had a problem with it, until now. Ever since I had Rylee, I sometimes cannot control myself, and when I do orgasm, I sometimes pee. This has happened about three times now and every time, I break down crying because I am so emberassed. Chris always says that it is ok and not to worry about it, but how can I not worry about it?

Has this ever happened to anyone before? Please tell me that I am not the only one. Do I have a problem and can it be fixed? I am so emberassed, that I am even afraid to talk to my OB/GYN about this because I am afraid that he is going to judge me, or worse, laugh at me.

I hope that someone here can help, or atleast make me feel better about this.

Rayanne, don't be embarassed, its ok.It is pretty normal to have some loss of control after a baby.Remember your body has been through alot of changes, and it takes time for you to get back to normal.Go to your Dr.thats what they are there for,and they will not laugh at you, I bet he has heard this at least 100 times before.Relax, and talk to your dr.Hugs from 1 mom to another, I have been there.

Definitely DON'T worry about it. I've had 5 kids (only 4 pregnancies) and if I sneeze, cough, laugh to hard, you name it...a lot of times I'll pee too. Not a lot but enough. It sucks and I hate it, but I earned it!!!! :)

Nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed over. It's a very common problem following pregnancies. You should definitely see your GYN though. It's possible you may eventually need a bladder lift. I need one, just not anxious to have yet another surgery. Takes nothing to make me pee! LOL

Many woman I know complain about the very same thing after giving birth. Having that babies weight in there isn't good on the bladder and the muscles that control it. Go talk to your OB/GYN about it, it is common.

By Coopaveryben on Sunday, August 15, 2004 - 09:36 pm:

I agree it is common. Check with your OBGYN and have your bladder checked. This happened after the 2nd one and it stopped on it's own. Our bodies go through so much being pregnant, it takes them some time to get back to normal (what am I saying, they will never be "normal" again but back to "working" order).

Okay- are you sure it's pee? Sometimes women have been known to- well- like squirt when they orgasm.

It could just be that.

Jade is only 5 1/2 months old and I still have that problem. If your DH is OK with it then just go with the mood and don't let it upset you and ruin your night. My Dr told me to do keegles (SP?) to strengthen the muscles down there and that within a yr all should be fine then if not to come back for another check up.

Rayanne, my bladder has fallen after my 2 children and I talked to my Dr. about it and he said that I could have surgery or get a "ring" to insert and it would lift it. I have also heard about the excercises you could do. Any way it is nothing to worry about. Alot of moms have been there. hugs to you!! Good thing you have a husband that is sensitive to your feelings and he doesn't mind about it. ;)

Rayanne,

I would defintly look up female ejaculation, it sounds like this may be what is happening. Talking to your ob is a great idea also, and kegel excersises are very important.

By Emily7 on Monday, August 16, 2004 - 12:08 am:

YOu have gotten some really great advice. I would also look into female ejaculation. Since having my kids it is harder for me to orgasm, but when I do it is more intense & I do the same thing (sorry if TMI).
I would talk to your doctor, not because there is anything wrong, but to put your mind at ease. Our bodies change so much during our lofetime & it is sometimes hard to tell what is normal & what isn't.

By Nicosmom on Monday, August 16, 2004 - 12:45 am:

Rayanne, I only have one child and he is 3. I sometimes feel like I slowly leak pee out as well. I asked my OBGYN about it and she said that it is common that things stretch out down there. I think your problem may eventually go away, but tell your doc. about it. Maybe if you left the "messing around" part out of it, you would feel more comfortable talking to him about it. I completely understand.

By Rayanne on Monday, August 16, 2004 - 08:33 am:

I know that it is not female ejaculation. It smells like pee. I can feel the difference too. I probably will talk to him about it, but I am so emberrassed for some reason.
I feel much better now knowing that I am not the only one.

By Pamt on Monday, August 16, 2004 - 10:12 am:

You really don't need to be embarrassed. This is honestly something OB/GYN's talk about all of the time. If your doctor does make you feel so uncomfortable though, you might want to consider getting a new one. I have always preferred a female OB/GYN becuase I am much more comfortable talking to her about anything.

By Luvn29 on Monday, August 16, 2004 - 04:36 pm:

I think talking to your gyn is a good idea, but here's another thing that I have to do to feel confident this won't happen to me. I ALWAYS use the restroom right before I think we are going to do anything and really bare down to get every little drop out. If there is nothing in your bladder, you can't have an accident.

Good luck!
