YUCKY

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive August 2004: YUCKY
By Rayanne on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 - 08:33 am:

Last night I was cooking dinner and Chris was watching Rylee. He put Rylee down near the kitchen and came to me to see what we were having. Then he turns to Rylee and I hear no, that's Gizmo's food. I stop what I am doing to see what she did and he said that she was going after the dog's food. I asked if she had any and he said no. About 5 minutes later I served dinner and put Rylee in her highchair. We started to eat and then Rylee coughed a little and on the tip of her tounge was a piece of Gizmo's food. She had been sucking on it!!!! I could not believe it. We just laughed and said yucky to Rylee.

My kids did the same thing with cat food! That's when we moved the cat dishes to the half bath, which was gated off and not accessible to wee ones. If something is out in the open they WILL get into it. LOL!

My problem with the dog though, is that he will not eat if he is in bathroom or bedroom by himself.

Timmy likes to take our boxer's food and float it in her water. The only problem then is that our boxer won't drink her water.

There are days I should have eyes in the back of my head.

My son floats the food on the dogs water too! Our feeding dishes are outside and the youngest still gets in them, he tries to sit in the water bowl, he'll eat the food. It is just gross. But I remember my mom had to hide dog food from my brother, he would find the bag and eat it. I remember this and he is 3 years older then me so he had to at least 6 or 7......ewwww!

Oh yuck! We didn't have a dog when my kids were that little! We were just too busy. I'm not sure where a dog would have fit into our lives! Our current dog and our last dog both need people around to eat! LOL!

My 10 month old is always trying to eat/eating the cat's food. It is gross!

Whenever I take my girls to go visit my grandmother, Hailey always gets into the cat's food, it's like tradition or something...LOL. Good to know other kids find it apealing as well. LOL

My DS use to do that too! Then, we showed him how to feed the kitty. He got very interested in feeding the kitty (putting handfuls of catfood on the kitty's dish) and lost interest in eating it!
