What a GREAT day! I obviously love the seacoast (as everyone can tell from prior posts). Today I took the kids, my mother and sister and did something that I've always wanted to do, we took a boat out of Portsmouth to the Isles of Shoals and got out and was able to check out Star Island. It was so cool, so beautiful and so peaceful. I wish I was younger and I'd sign up to spend my summers there. I just got a new camera and probably would have gotten better pics if I had bothered to read the manual. If anyone knows how to shrink them and could post a couple of the better ones for me, I'd love to share.

Sounds FUN! I've done the Isles of Shoals boat ride as a kid (whale watching), but have never heard of Star Island. Send me the pics. I'll see what I can do.

I've heard of the Isles of Shoals but I've never been there. It sounds pretty neat. We just went to Peak's Island this weekend (an island within view of Portland) and we decided it is getting way to busy there. We usually go there for the boat ride and a little walk, but the amount of cars there on the weekend is annoying. An island with no cars sounds pretty nice!
