ugh my luck is awful...now i know it was my fault i was speeding but i was on a back road and i didnt think there would be a cop standing in the middle of the freaking road pulling me over-he had a line of four cars giving out tickets. that is what makes me mad, i think he was trying to make his quota or something. ugh oh well i cant get to mad since i was going to fast...no points but i got a fine. oh well what a great way to start a monday morning!!!

You get points on your driving record for violations. They stay on for two years, I think, and if you accumulate 12, your license is suspended. I think a speeding ticket is two points?(At least in Ohio.)

BTDT and it sucks! When I went to pay my fine there were 2 other people in line that had been pulled over in the same spot within an hour of me. Makes me mad too! Points for speeding tickets in CA depend on how fast you were going. No points for me, 10 mph or less over the speed limit is no points, just a fine.

I have been pulled over twice and got out of the tickets! I even got my dh out of one by getting very angry at him, of course the kids crying in the back helped too! The trick pretend you speedometer is not working right.

points do more that screw with your license. They can raise your insurance rate, which is already deadly for even one with a perfect driving record.

I got a ticket once. I was 7 months pg with my 2nd dd. I was on the way to work and had MS really bad. I just needed something to eat to help me. I was on a back road and the stupid cop got me doing 10 mph over. I was going 45 mph. He had no compassion and I ended up with my ticket. Dh said I should of tried my hardest to puke. That really sucked because it does affect your insurance.

that is the reason that my insurance is was high for a couple of years i got 4 speeding tickets !!! raised my insurance $48 a month.
thank fully after the 2 years they dropped. here in Indiana you can take a defensive driving class every two years to knock 2 pints off that helped me alot lowered almost all the way back down i was only paying an extra $11 a months instead. then i got another 2 months before they dropped & they suspended my liscence for 90 days !!!!! killed me on insurance till i turned 25 ! i learned my lesson !
