This is too funny to keep to myself...not a proud moment for me, but at least I'm laughing. I work in a really catty environment, and this morning a couple of women in the next cubicle were whispering and writing notes (we are grown-ups, BTW). I wondered what the note said, so I waited until they were away and then dove into the trash of where they'd thrown it away (not my cubicle) and was caught in the act when one returned. No way out! So I laughed it off and hoped they'd see how funny it was... I know, how childish of me! Lesson learned: Grow up!

How funny! You should have said, "there is something really smelly in here it is bothering me to death...I will be removing this for you" and take her trash can away.

I am dying laughing, that sounds like one of the stupid things I would get caught doing...you better believe she is writing a note about what you did to her friend AT THIS VERY MOMENT!

Reminds me of the time I was standing at the printer in an office waiting for a print out and talking to a coworker. Of course I look at what is printing.

The woman came up to me like I was reading private and personal correspondants. Hmmph...

LOL, no we lock the door (but as dd is a teen now, I'm very paranoid). Anyway, yes, I saw the note, and it was about a customer that one had waited on. I love the smelly garbage excuse, except it was a paper/shred trash can and wouldn't have worked! LOL And yes, I've no doubt I was the subject of major whispering later on!
