I was flossing my teeth this a.m and my crown on my molar popped off ! Then Dd and I were mushroom hunting by our house and I tripped and fell on a piece of barbed wire and it went in to my shin ,when I pulled it out blood spurted up in the air (must have hit a vein) and dd freaked out !
I had her go back to the house to get a towel and in the mean time I was applying pressure to the wound and trying to get across the street
but cars kept going by and I wasn`t fast enough.
I would get half way across then had to go back,I finally made it, and dd
brought me the towel and I got the bleeding to stop.
I called my Dr. and went in and got a tetanus
shot.I have to call if it starts hurting or looks infected !
I think I am giving up the mushroom hunting till next year ! LOL !

I am so glad you said you got a tetanus shot. That was the first thing crossing my mind when you said barbed wire. I have always been careful to get my booster every 7 years.

How ironoic........ I was eating a very yummy Jelly belly (sugar free and can't even tell it by the way and I am one that can always tell) And I felt something hard hit my tounge. Mind said. UMMM that wasn't the Jelly Belly??? and I spit out the hard object and my half eaten Jelly Belly and there in my hand sits my crown....... It was 9 this evening so no chance of getting into the dentist. I left an emergency call on my dentist phone though.... But he doesn't get in until 10.....
JESH!!!

Anyway, hope you got yours fixed and that your knee heals up well and quickly. How are you feeling today?

Things are much better today,thanks !It does not look infected so that`s good.
and all went well at the dentist.I have terrible teeth ! So when stuff like that happens (crown falling off) usually they find a cavity underneath or worse , I have to get a root canal,which I would not have gotten because our insurance ran out for dental sooooooooooooo for the first time ever my dentist found nothing under my tooth and all he had to do was cement it back in.
YIPPee!!!!!!!
Today my poor Ds is home from school because yesterday he went to kick his soccer ball (barefoot)and missed the ball and stubbed his toe on our drive way (ouch !!!!).
So his top layer of skin is off his big toe.
Poor Ds , we are going out for some hot and sour soup right now and an egg roll.
