Accident prone DS

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive April 2004: Accident prone DS

Earlier today he was watching a DVD in the playroom and managed to fall and cut his lip on the inside and the outside. Then, just a few minutes ago, he was outside playing baseball(big plastic bat and ball). He threw the ball up to hit it..right into his eye! So, now he has a cut up lip and a bruised eye and cheek! It's a miracle the kid hasn't had a broken bone yet(knock on wood lol)!

Ouch!! I sometimes wonder why my 4 year old hasn't had a broken bone yet. She sounds just like Kolby....very accident prone!
My 5 year old has broken both of her arms (within 6 months of each other) and she is the most careful kid you've ever met. Just unlucky I guess. Ironic, IMO :)

Hope he is all healed up soon!

I was always hurting myself as a child. I managed not to break a bone until I was 15, though! LOL! I was the queen of stitches and bruises as a kid! I even got a tooth knocked out. Fortunately, it was a baby tooth. I wasn't scared of anything as a kid! (drove my mother nuts!) My kids haven't quite been like that. They are always more cautious!

Not that they didn't cut lips open or something like that, but just never quite as accident-prone as I was.

Hope he is feeling better soon. There was a kindergartener at the school where I work that had quite a shiner around her eye and I was amazed at how fast that got better, since I only saw her for about 10-15 minutes a day. Each day I could see improvement.
