Anyone else as anxious as I am to get your hands dirty?

I am impatiently waiting to get outside and do some gardening! I bought some bulbs and plants today and can't wait to get them in the ground. Some of the seeds I started last week have sprouted, my daylilies outside are about 3 inches high and my roses are covered with new shoots. Next week the kids will be off for Spring break and I hope to start cleaning out the yard and preparing the garden. I really can't do any planting until late April/early May at the earliest, but I am so ready! LOL

I am ready too. Some stuff you can plant now, spinach and peas can go in now.

You sound like my mom Sunny!

When they were first married and built their house in '63 she went out in April/May and bought $30 worth of annual plants (a lot of money back then). They all froze:( She learned her lesson and didn't plant anything until June!

I would just like my yard to stay nice:)

Yes, I've very ready to get started. I bought a bunch of bulbs and seeds yesterday. I'm going to start my herbs very soon indoors.

Ready and waiting!!!
We are putting bulbs in today. We held off on the flowers though. I'm very tempted to buy some pansies and put them in. I think they would be OK. They are pretty tough. I can't wait till the stores get the rest of the flowers in. I'm anxious to get in the flower beds.

That is what I have been doing all week and weekend, my house has paid the price..it's a wreck. But I love spring and I love the flowerbed/garden in the spring....come July/August not so much.

Yes, Im ready but, the ground here is wet because of rain off and on. My tulips are half way up. I planted a bunch of new ones last year. Last week I trimmed all of my mums.I ordered some more from my DD's fund raiser and they are suppose to be in this week and I hope to get them planted. I just told my DH today that I wanted to throw some of my old planters away and get some new ones this year. He's going to put some more trees in and he's anxious to do this also. I don't plant my garden or perinials until around mother's day because if I do it any sooner then the rain drowns them.

I can't wait, either, but it's just too early to do anything here in WI. My neighbors always put their garden way before Memorial Day and everything always grows. So, they are kind of my cue! It would be fun to start some marigolds, though.

I bought Peas, carrots, bush beans, green onions, lavender, rosemary and parsley so far. Yes, Spring is in the air!

I usually wait until Mother's Day when I'm sure there is nearly no chance of frost. (I'm just getting anxious! :) )

It's supposed to be rainy this week, so no yard work for awhile.

Wellllll, I have already had my hands dirty and enjoyed it very much. I am ready for April 15 so I cant plant some more flowers/shrubs.... :)

Last few weeks I planted Tulips, pansies, Daylillies... While BIL planted a row of new trees for us across the back of the property. :) We have already mowed the yard TWICE!!

I LOVE Spring so much!

Our lawn is greening up, but not enough to cut yet. I saw someone mowing their lawn yesterday, but I'm not sure why he was doing it. His grass didn't look very long to me! LOL!
