I'm excited:)

I found out from a friend at school that a local college allows membership to their gym facilities, which includes an indoor pool and gym.

We are not joined to the local Y, because of the rates and times the pool is available for public use:(

We used to be joined to this indoor pool/gym that was partially owned by a client of mine the price was $200 a year, but you could use it 24/7. They closed it because of insurance rates.

However, this college has a nice pool year around (year) price for 1 year whole family is $335. Pool is open 11-8 M-Sat closed Sundays, closed certain times for practice and holidays. There is a weight lifting room, an indoor track, basketball court, etc.

I am so thrilled, my dh has been looking for a place to exercise, he likes to walk, but our roads are way too dangerous, people drive like their nuts! An indoor track he can go whenever, yippee!

Just excited, I may get the membership in May when it's closer to summer, don't want to distract them from school work!

That is exciting! We don't really have anything like that near us. I did have a membership at a local Hampton Inn. They have a weight room and a pool. It was $20 a month per person.

That sounds like a great deal!! We only have one gym within 2 hours of us. It is old and yucky IMO. They have new equipment but desperately need to update the overall look. The pool is never opened because it has a huge crack in it. The membership fee is $40 a month per adult. No kids allowed.
That will be a fun place to entertain your kids during the summer :)

I looked at their website...

I should have explained, last year we joined a Sportman's pool. It didn't open until 6/17 (because of school's letting out) and closed August 15 (due to the same problem only school's opening lifeguard problem) and it rained on labor day weekend. It is an outdoor pool. Cost for 2 months for entire family was $165. I was furious. It stated it would be open from Memorial day to Labor day.

They were supposed to be open from 11-7, but would often leave early if no one was there, I liked to go in the evenings when no one was there, the water was nice, etc.

So this does make me happy.
