Hello all-My husband and I have been TTC baby number two for two and a half years with no luck. I just went to the doctors in Jan and started to get the ball rolling. I had a HSG done this month on the 5th and I also started to take Clomid. This was my first round of it this month and it went alright besides moodiness and breaking out. I am not sure yet if the Clomid worked for me this month or not, wont know till probably the 1st of April if I am pregnant. But I would LOVE to talk to other people that are or have taken Clomid. I have tried to look to other boards for support but no one has welcomed me into their group. You all seem like a very friendly group of woman and I am hoping one of you have been through this before. Any advice would be great. THANKS SO MUCH!

I have never taken Clomid. But I know people that have. And it can take some time to get results. So don't get upset if it doesn't happen right away (because that can cause issues with TTC) just take one day at a time and keep pracitcing..

And I am 100% positive someone on here has been there done that.

But anyway I just wanted to welcome you to the group. Great bunch of ladies here....

Welcome to Momsview! I also have a friend who took Clomid to get pregnant with her first child. It took a few months. She now has 4 kids. :-)

I took Clomid when trying to conceive child #1. I went through three courses of it before I got pregnant. What I remember the most about the Clomid was the horrible mood swings. I am usually a very easy-going person and I had never had a day of PMS in my life so the hormonal surges really caught me off guard. I would be just fine and then suddenly I would be absolutely furious or I'd break down in tears over the tiniest things. My dh was such a saint. I don't know how he put up with me while I was taking the Clomid. It wasn't pleasant, but it was worth it because we ended up with our beautiful dd who will turn 8 on April 5th! Good luck to you and your dh!

I took it several times (I think three) for conceiving my second. It did not work for me. BUT my dr was aslo just throwing it at me without investigating what the real problem was. I switched drs, found out i was insulin resistant, had PCOS and high testosterone. I was given glucophage and got pg without even having a new cycle (I conceived on day 65!) It was very difficult, but also wonderful that I was able to discover this problem from my infertility (it is a life-long problem and can lead to diabetes and heart disease.) There are lots of infertility groups. i belonged to a yahoo group for secondary infertility. Usually they are more "welcoming" since you already have a child. Good luck!

My AF has always been regular and had no specific reason to suspect PCOS till we started ttc. Its been 12 months now. I tried glucophage but couldnt tolerate it and due to working fulltime, could not afford too many sick days. I have been on clomid for 2 cycles and definitely O'd on the second one (100 mg) but didnt conceive. Now i am lost on what to do? i dont even know what to ask my doc. is she being too hasty giving me clomid? should i up my dose to 150mg? is anyone else going thru this? help
