Herbal tea questions...

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive March 2004: Herbal tea questions...
By Momaroze on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 - 09:09 am:

Has anyone tried chamomile tea...for relaxation. I've heard it is also good for babies to promote relaxation. Also I am wondering about Valerian tea as well for anxiety? I want to know who has tried and found these teas to work.I am looking for a natural way to reduce stress? At the health store the lady pointed out too many products...I just became overwhelmed and walked out with nothing. The teas are inexpensive to buy but the other stuff....25 & up. Any suggestions? I guess what works for some may not work for others???Still I would like some feedback. Thanks.

My dd drinks a cup of Sleepytime tea (Celestial Seasonings) every night, and it helps her to unwind. I am at this very moment drinking echinacea tea for a bad cold...I don't know if it actually helps, but it makes me think I'm doing something, LOL. When I was pregnant, I used to drink rasberry tea to keep the nausea at bay. I think there are a lot of good herbal teas out there, but you need to be careful if you are or planning to be pregnant, because some herbs are harmful to the preborns.
