Actual things done on this weekend?

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive March 2004: Actual things done on this weekend?

I know some of us posted at the end of last week, what we "thought" our plans might be for the weekend. Did you stick to your plans or do something else?
I was supposed to help dh in the yard both days and maybe take the girls to the mall Sat am. Instead, one dd had practice Sat am, then three of us went shopping for bathing suits in the afternoon. Dh stayed home with two of the kids and HE did the backyard work.
Today we were supposed to do yard work or work on the boat but I convinced dh to take the day "off" for a change. He stayed home with ds and I took the girls to the beach. We wore our new swimsuits!
Grilling burgers for dinner.
Did you stick to your plans?

I never posted my plans, but my weekend was pretty uneventful. I worked last night while Nate studied, and every Sunday is family special breakfast day. Nate cooks, we all hang out and watch the race and be lazy. We are attempting some potty training work though! Sounds like you had a fun weekend with the kids! :)

Well, girls and I really did go to the concert and all the meet and greets that we had scheduled. DD14 got all the autographs she wanted and got to meet her favorite singers up close and personal. In Jump5, Brandon just had a birthday last week. She wished him Happy Birthday and he shook her hand. Then he gave her a hug! She was thrilled. We also enjoyed the concert very much.

Today, quiet day besides going to church this morning. AFter yesterday's hecticness, today was nice. They go back to school tomorrow.

I did everything and more that I posted I was going to do on Saturday. Today, we put off doing the lawn and went to the Irish-Italian parade. What much-needed fun that was! I'll post some pics tomorrow.

I posted 2 different weekend plans, and we opted for the latter :) We took a little trip down to St.George....just got back and got the kids to bed. It was very fun and VERY hot! Lots of swimming. We looked around for a new car (mostly mini-vans actually) and found a few that we liked, but nothing that struck us so much as to buy. So, we're still looking/researching.

Radio Disney Spring Thing Concert

Here is a good share of the 121 pics we took yesterday! LOL! She has her name on the pics because she doesn't want all the other kids on the fan message boards stealing all her pics.

I did mostly what I said we would. The boys had a baseball game Saturday morning. They lost, but it was a fun time anyway. I didn't get around to doing my shopping like I had hoped, but I just didn't feel like driving off the mountain again. LOL. Today started earlier than I anticipated it would. Griffin's hockey tournament began at 6:15 am. Yikes! Oh well, I love watching him play hockey so it wasn't so bad. This afternoon, the foundation I volunteer for had a wine tasting fundraiser for the school. It was a huge success. And then we were invited to a friend's house for dinner since dh left for a few days. Now we are home, the kids all fell right to sleep and I think I am about ready to do the same! :)

I did everything that I said I was going to do except for Saturday. Hubby was supposed to go to firestation, but instead he wanted to hang with the girls (Me and DD). We went shopping for drapes in our living room, washed his truck, and watched the movie The Cat in the Hat. It was a very g:):)d movie.
