Laundry Symbols

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive March 2004: Laundry Symbols

Does anyone know a good site that lists all the laundry symbols and what they mean - I am tired of trying to figure out what everything is -- why can't it be so simple -- wash and dry

Melissa,

We have an Amana Washer and the laundry symbols are on the inside of the lid (the washer's almost 2 years old).

Did you try Tide.com? I'm a big Tide user, even though it costs more $$.

Common Laundry Symbols

You're so good Melissa!!! I just throw everything in the washer and most in the dryer and pay no attention to the washing instructions. Oh well.

Laundry symbols? Where do you find laundry symbols in the first place? I just select a setting, add detergent and wait for it to stop.

Dana, the laundry symbols are on the tags. I always look when I'm unsure of how to wash something. I've ruined too many things just chucking them in the wash without looking. text description

ooops, guess I've never even checked!

My choice is dry clean or wash? Other than that I just go by colors. Never thought I needed to worry about it. Oh well, LOL, so far so good :)
