Buds on the trees and I killed a snake already!

Ok, yesterday I noticed there are buds on the trees:)

Last night the girls found a live snake:( I don't mind snakes, but we have 3 dds, so I killed it. I've never killed a snake in March! Yes, I whacked it with a shovel just like mom taught me, she's up there smiling right now;)

Marg, my DH found a snake in the garage one time and came running in to the house screaming. So I figure oh its probably just a garden snake and I tell him to just get rid of it. He says no way and I go out to look. It was pretty big- well compared to a garden snake it was big. I have a huge fear of snakes, but DH's was bigger so I was the one to get rid of it. At first I thought I would throw it over the hill and let it live-but the thought of it coming back to the garage freaked me out so I had to use the shovel, too. Funny thing is I still feel guilty about it.

Ahh! There is no way I could get close enough to a snake to kill it LOL. Good for you!
Today is beautiful here in Utah. We are all wearing capri's :) I love this time of year.

UGH! I've found little grass snakes in our yard before......but I'm like Robin, I won't get close enough to kill them.

We've had near-80 degree days in the last couple weeks, now it's cooler, but we'll be 80 degrees next week.

Things are starting to bud and bloom and grow around here, ESPECIALLY the huge assortment of weeds in my yard! We've already had to cut, edge and weed whack this year.

UG! It snowed here in CT today. NO buds on the trees but I did see 3 Robins in my yard today and last week 2 Canada Geese flew over the house. Definite signs that Spring is around the corner! text description

Snakes don't bother me. Although we don't have poisonous ones in my neck of the woods, or they would! As a kid I purposely brought gardner snakes into the house to freak out my mom. *EG* text description

Poor snake! lol JK I wouldn't have gotten close enough to kill it, either. I hate snakes! We had this discussion at church (after we'd caught a mouse in the church pantry!). About half the women freak out over a mouse (one didn't mind rats, though--yuck!). About 2/3 can't stand snakes. About another 1/2 lose it over spiders. I don't mind spiders or mice. We had a snake in our apartment in Maryland once. I freaked!!! lol Woke dh up (who also hates snakes), made him catch it and throw it outside. We think it came in through the dryer vent. Still gives me the hevy-jebies! lol

80's??? 80's???? We were only 13 this morning and only got into the high 20's by late afternoon!

A live snake would be better than a dead rabbit in the dryer! We think it slid down the dryer vent and couldn't get out. I was sure glad when we figured out where the smell was coming from, though.

EWWWWW ! Dawn ! I bet that stunk! Yes, a live snake would be better, thats for sure.
I know, what you mean about the weather. It was cold this a.m also and 23 most of the day with snow. *sigh*

Yeah, the rabbit was pretty icky. It was starting to decompose already. We never expected something dead in there. Finally narrowed down where the smell was coming from. My dh was my hero for cleaning that one up! Yuck.
