This is going to sound so strange and I hesistate to say it but here goes, my DH is into LOTR...me? not so much. But he wanted me to read them to him at night, because I always lay in bed reading...he thought I could just read his books out loud (how thoughtful). Aren't they all really just large children? I'm getting to my point, I've only just finished the first and it is really good. My DH watches the movies all the time and as usual I liked the detail in the book more than the movie, it explains some of the things you see in the movie but don't quite catch. It gives more detail to the movies.
