What goes with Nachos?

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive February 2004: What goes with Nachos?
By Marg on Monday, February 23, 2004 - 08:32 am:

No, this isn't a joke. We had twice bbq'd burritos last night with beans. I'm using the rest of the hamburger mix to make nachos, you know chips, hamburger mix, beans, lettuce, tomatos, cheese and sour cream (that's the was my family likes it). Any ideas on a small easy side dish to go with this?

TIA

guacamole (sp??)
green onions chopped
salsa

as for a side dish? What about spanish rice?

By Kernkate on Monday, February 23, 2004 - 09:14 am:

I always do rice-a-roni when I make nachos...either the spanish rice one or the beef one.

When we do a mexican meal, I fix guacamole, black beans and fruit salad to go with.

Spanish rice would be great, or a pot of beans. For my beans I use pinto beans with a can of rotel and garlic. They are really good.

Spanish rice would be good, or a seven layer bean dip!

We usually eat corn when we have mexican.

I usually make homemade spanish rice and refried beans when we make mexican food. My DH is spanish so this is what he's use to.
