I hate PMS!

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive February 2004: I hate PMS!
By Annie2 on Friday, February 20, 2004 - 09:19 pm:

I'm bloated, irritable, tired, can't sleep, starving, craving salt, boobs hurt...to name a few! :)
I love being a woman but enough already!
Ahhh, I feel slightly better. Thanks for letting me vent.

Feeling your pain...

By Dana on Friday, February 20, 2004 - 10:31 pm:

I feel your pain too......and MINE! Actually, I just ended period, so I have a few days off before the misery starts. It just keeps getting worse with each month.

By Kernkate on Friday, February 20, 2004 - 11:47 pm:

I feel your pain...but I guess we all have to deal with it....And the older you get the worse it gets...at least for me at 40.

Currently feeling your pain. Hate it! I figure there is about two good weeks out of the month. My poor family!

yes I hate it to . I get all of the above that you mentioned.
This month is worse than others , I don`t know why maybe because the sun hasn`t been out in a while.
I ate horribly last night to. Doughnuts , sweet cereal and popcorn with honey (yuk) .
No wonder why I am crabby and still tired today.

By Trisa on Saturday, February 21, 2004 - 08:50 am:

I hear ya girl!!
Ever since I had my DD on the first 2 days of my
period I get this painful numbing pain in my pubic bone. It really hurts. I am expecting mine today or tomorrow. YUCK!!

By Dawnk777 on Saturday, February 21, 2004 - 09:47 am:

I don't know about the bloating, but I do get the sore boobs and the crabby personality. Oh, and my 14DD also gets the moods, too and I don't think the nearly 12DD is all that far off from it, either.

Ladies,

You should all talk to your doctors. There are things you can do about the PMS. I had migraines as well as all the other symptoms you have mentioned above. I lost 2-3 days a month in debilitating painful headaches.

I went on anti-depressants. Not because I was depressed but because they are known to help with headaches. I also went on hormones for 28 days, which ment I didn't take placebos and got rid of my period for several years.

I did start bleeding around the age of 40 and had less and less time without my period so eventually had a hysterectomy, the most wonderful thing in the world!!!! I had no pain with the surgery. I have not PMS symptoms, now.

Talk to your doctor. There are things you can do.

I was on sarafem for over two years for my PMS and my migraines and it didn't really help my migraines. It did help my PMS and other symptoms like cramps and irrability. I just felt like they made me gain weight so I stopped taking them.

By Babysitbarb on Sunday, February 22, 2004 - 11:00 am:

I had many of the side effects from this medicine also, like eccessive sweating, weight gain, low sexual desire and others so this is why I went off from it. My doctor then tried me on wellbutrin for a couple months which is suppose to have less side effects and it di but, it caused other side effects so I went off from that also and decided that me and my family will just have to deal with the PMS. I am doctoring on the migraines and the doctor just doubled my dose of Imitrex for that.

In may case, since going off BC pills I've noticed a BIG change for the better.

I noticed a big change in my PMS also after going off BC but, not in my migraines.
