Trina Peanut Alergy ?

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive February 2004: Trina Peanut Alergy ?

Trina is it you who has kids with peanut alergies? If so do you have any suggestions on what I could bring for snacks to dd's preschool. One of the kids has a peanut alergy and at the beginning of the year the teacher sent home a hand out with suggestions for things but since we haven't had to bring snacks until now I have lost it. This little boy's mom does make sure that there are snacks there that he can have in case the person bringing the snacks forgets about his alergies but I would like to try to bring something that they all could enjoy together.

YES, both my kids have nut allergies. Were you thinking of baking something?? What kind of snack did you have in mind? Is this just for a regular snack day or a special occasion?

LOL, on the baking! How about fruit cups? You could make up a large bowl of fruit salad and scoop it into Dixie cups at school. Give each child a toothpick and there you go. Grapes, strawberries, cubed honeydew and cantalope, bananas, etc..

Cheese sticks, crackers (Goldfish, Ritz)

Send any boxes in with you so the ingredient label can be double checked.

I have company from out of state, but I'll think more and get back to you.
