FOR AOL USERS

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive February 2004: FOR AOL USERS
By Jtsmom on Wednesday, February 18, 2004 - 10:08 am:

They have dropped the price of the unlimited AOL service in order to compete with other service providers. It is now $14.95 a month for unlimited… I believe it used to be $23.95. They put the lower price into effect this past weekend, but you have to call and request the new unlimited plan. One catch is that you have to agree to keep the service for 12 months. They will begin advertising the new plan within the next couple of weeks, but you can call now and start saving money sooner. $14.95 a month to commit ot 12 months of service. 1-888-265-8008 (AOL Customer Service)

Well that's odd i did call aol this weekend and they of course didn't say a single word to me about that. I got the plan where i pay $1.05 more for anyone under our 7 names to be on at the same time and i asked if there was a military plan thanks for letting me know...I will check this out.

I just talked to an AOL technician on line and she didn't seem to know anything about it. She also gave me the same number to call and ask them.

By Babysitbarb on Wednesday, February 18, 2004 - 02:50 pm:

jtsmom, were did you hear this?

By Mommmie on Wednesday, February 18, 2004 - 03:14 pm:

This is their same price for the "Bring your own hookup" meaning you are no longer getting onto AOL through AOL, but rather through a cable or DSL (but want to retain your AOL email accounts). I wonder if that's what this promotion is talking about?

By Jtsmom on Wednesday, February 18, 2004 - 04:26 pm:

I just asked my friend/co-worker about it, she was the one who was telling me about it. She called them this morning, her mother called them last night and the person she found out from called last night. Use the number above that I listed. I'm sorry if there is any confusion, but she said that she spoke with AOL this morning and infact she got that deal along with 2 free months. I don't have AOL but I hope this works out for you all that do.

Wish I could get AOL here, but they don't have any local access #'s in our area.

By Yjja123 on Sunday, February 22, 2004 - 05:10 pm:

I called that number and they were happy to switch my account over. No problems at all. Unlimited service for just $14.95.
It is a great deal! I pay my mom's AOL and she has to go in the back door (which is $14.95) so I am now paying $30.00 for both accounts as opposed to the $40.00+
Thank you for telling me about it!
