Table linens like laminated or something like that????

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive February 2004: Table linens like laminated or something like that????

I was wondering if so store sells really nice looking

sort of like laminated table cloths.

Does anyone own one they really like and where did you get it?

You can go to most fabric stores and buy whatever fabric you like and they can make it water proof, by covering it with something. It's something-cloth. It's on the tip of my tongue, but I can't think of it. Ask at a fabric store if you are looking for a pattern to match what you already have.

There is also plastic that you can just lay over a regular fabric table cloth. You just cut it down to size.

Hope that helps some. :)

Do you have a Big Lots near you? They sell very pretty vinyl, flannel backed tablecloths. Almost any store that sells table linens, has these. I used them while my kids were little. They drape nicely, and wash up with a dishcloth.

what we do at my house is i use a nice table cloth but i went to JoAnn fabics ( i'm sure u've got somthing like this near ur house)
and they have a laminated roll and u cut it to the size of your table or slightly larger and just lay it over your nice table cloth.
everything is perfectly protected! even from crayons!
and the nice thing is it comes in two types of lamination. clear (which dissapers) or a kind of shiny plastic color.

Do you mean oil cloth?
I think you can find a source if you go google and type in oil cloth.
I have some and it really is durable and comes in cool retro styles.
Also check martha stewart . com for retailers
and ideas .

The Vermont Country Store has oil cloth.

Go to http://froogle.google.com/
Type in Vinyl flannel backed tablecloth
and you will get more examples than you can imagine. The clear vinyl over a real cloth will turn a gray-yellow with sunlight and time.
