My day's adventure

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive February 2004: My day's adventure

Emily had her solo to do for the Solo and Ensemble contest for WSMA (Wisconsin School Music Association) today. She did really well. I hope she gets a "1" rating.

Then went to lunch at Arby's before trekking down to Milwaukee to go to the Art Museum. We get all the way down there and were in the parking structure when Emily says "I don't feel so good. I feel like I'm going to throw up." This is followed by Emily throwing up in the car about a minute later. Ewww. Needless to say, we didn't go to the art museum. Sarah and I run into a Walmart, buy garbage bags, paper towel, some moist towelettes, and some towels and some different clothes for her, while Gary and Emily wait in the car. We get back out to the parking lot, clean it up as best we can and start heading home (an hour away!) She never did change clothes, since there really was no way she could. She would have had to change in the car and that Walmart is always sooo busy, that really wasn't an option either.

So, we get home, send her downstairs to strip by the washing machine, wrap her in a blanket so she can get upstairs to the bathroom where she takes her second shower today!

She is now clean and her clothes and jacket are in the wash machine now.

Gary took the little carpet cleaner out to the car and scrubbed the seats. He says they are clean now.

So, that was my Valentine's Day.

Oh, Emily? She's fine now!

I'm so glad to hear she's better, and so sad about your day. However, you will remember this day;)

Oh geez! At least you'll never forget this Valentines day :) Glad she is feeling better!

What an adventure! Glad your dd is feeling better do you think it was her nerves ?
Your poor dd. My dd would always get very nervous before her dance recital.

Well, she seemed better at first, but then slept a long time this afternoon and now has a lowgrade fever. So, I think it was the beginning of a bug. Bummer.

No, we won't forget this one very easily. Poor thing having to ride home in the dirty clothes. I think she was very glad to be able to take those off.

Poor baby. Glad it didn't happen until after she did her solo.

Yes, that is a good thing, Ginny! She seemed fine then. Temp at 10pm was 101.3, so I think she has some sort of bug. She will be laying low tomorrow.
