To the moderators: is it possible to put a spell checker on the board? It would be nice, since I can not spell, at all. Not sure when I lost the ability to spell, but it is gone. thanks for any help you can give

Mrse, there is already spell check in use. I think you just need to check it in your profile. I get red words all over my posts LOL.

However, some I know are correct but the program just doesn't recognize them as proper spellings.

Mrse, go to edit your profile. Enter your password. the next window will open click on preferences. At the bottom of the list of preferences it says spell check. Check that box.

When you post a message and click Preview/post message and it open the page where you can preview the post anything miss spelled is highlighted in red. Then you simply go down to the revise your message box and fix any spelling mistakes. But I honestly could care if you can spell or not. Most times I don't even notice the misspelled words. And as long as they are close this isn't a spelling test.

The spell check is based on a dictionary of 30,000 common words I downloaded from the Internet. It won't catch names of places or people spelled incorrectly though..

I wish it fixed the ones you did wrong! LOL If I knew how to spell the silly word it wouldn't be showing up big and red now would it!! LOL

You can always open an new message email. Type your reply in there and have it spell check it and copy and paste it to the post a message box.
