If you are up for it you can do your taxes online and efile for free!

I love free things and a lot of websites you can do for free depending on your adjusted gross income, you have to really look!

I'm an accountant and have been for 18 years (makes me feel old).

I was browsing all morning for a website that allows free online preparation and efile and electronic refunds.

If you are up for it here is a website, there is a catch, your adjusted gross can not be more than $28,000.

Here is the webpage

http://www.online-taxes.com/2003/main/home/default.asp?affiliate=

I have to look at one more thing and I'll post again.

OnLineTaxes.com: Free federal online tax preparation & e-filing if you are eligible for EIC, have an AGI of $28,000 or less, or are age 20 or younger. More details

You can actually go to the IRS website and they suggestions places to do taxes online:)

I pulled this one up and it really works, I was happy with it and it was very easy:)

If any sites do not work just post!

Hi there,

I know that the military can file for free under the irs website, it will take you to turbo tax and even though it says that it charges you the $9.99 or $19.99 once you put in your military information it does not charge you. I was very impressed since I will not be able to make it to the base and have them done for free this year.

I love turbotax not free but quite inexpensive. I filed yesterday and will have my refund direct deposited into my bank account in two short weeks!
This is the first year it will not be going towards a vacation :(
Instead we are paying off a credit card. My mantra for the year is "The year 2004 equals debt no more". Now if I can just stick with it!

Yes, Amy I saw that too, I should have posted that, but dh is no longer in the military.

I used to do turbo tax, but when I saw this website, I didn't pay a cent Yvonne, and I filed and efiled and will have it direct deposited for $0, yeah. I will be paying for my transmission:(

Well, that wouldn't work for us. We have used TurboTax for a number of years now and we have already bought this year's copy. From Office Max, we are going to be getting a $30.00 rebate and it only cost $39.99.

Our taxes are done and we already have our refund!!!!!! :):)

Lucky you, mommyathome! I think we just about have all the stuff we need. Maybe next weekend we'll work on it. It seems to be a February thing!
