How often do you change your desktop?

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive January 2004: How often do you change your desktop?

And, do you use a screen saver?
Do you have a favorite?

I change mine every few weeks, much to my son's dismay (he likes to keep it the same), but stopped using the screen saver feature. I prefer looking at the new picture whenever I pass the computer. :)

I keep mine plain but have my screen saver going through all my pictures saved on my D drive. It's all my digital pictures of Brendan through the year and I love walking in here and seeing a picture of him throughout the year. It brings back such memories for us, sometimes we'll talk about them and it always amazes me just what he remembers.

LOL! My dh and I don't agree on what desktop to have. I like a pic of the kids as the desktop, but he thinks it's too busy so he changes it to a plain one. Right now it's the plain one.

Our screen saver is a bunch of outerspace stuff...earth, stars, etc. The kids like to look at those , they are really pretty.

I use pictures of the kids as my wallpaper. We don't have a screen saver, the monitor just shuts down after so many minutes of not being used.

I compromise with both kids and my hubby. We are all NASCAR fanatics, my son and hubby like Dale Jr., and my daughter and I like Kevin Harvick, so we have wallpaper of both cars at Datona last year side by side... of course, I chose the one where Kevin was in the lead! hehe!

Our screensaver is of pics of the kids that are saved on the computer. I, too, love being able to see pics of the kids all the time. My kids love looking through them, also.

I have had the same screensaver and wallpaper all year. Might change it if I get another good pic from Daytona this year, though! :P

We change ours quite a bit. Sometimes to match the holiday or the season. Our screen saver is usually our last name bouncing around in "3D". Though sometimes we use the picture slide show as a screen saver.

I change my desktop with the holidays and like right now since it's not a holiday for a couple weeks I have a winter scene.
We also change our screensaver off and on. Most of the time it's our last name bouncing around in 3-D. I have had picture slide show of my niece and our godchild off and on.

Right now, I have the moon picture that comes with XP. It's blue, so I like that and it's plain enough that I can see all the stuff on my desktop. We have 2 profiles on my computer, so Emily has her own and she changes it a lot! Sarah has a computer up in her room and she also changes her desktop a LOT!

Gary has one of the first pictures of Mars (from spirit) on his desktop.

Last year, we watched a lot of foal cams and had all those pics in a folder. I was screensaving through all the baby horse pics! It was fun seeing the babies after some of them had grown up a bit and were no longer that small anymore.

This year, can get a whole new crop of foal pictures.

Adena - NASCAR is in our house too. We each have our own desktop so mine is Rusty Wallace, DH is Tony Stewart and DS is Ken Schraeder (M & M car)
