Over the weekend I made a cake in my crock-pot. I had saw several recipes for it, so thought I would try it.

Anyway, it was awful!! The recipe was called Triple Chocolate Surprise. It called for an 8 oz carton of Sour Cream, which I thought was weird, but thought maybe it took away from the sweetness of three different types of chocolate in the cake. It tasted awful! I don't know if I had bad sour cream or if the sour cream just made it taste horrible!

I cooked the cake on High for 3 hrs, which the recipe said to do (I didn't have time to cook it on low as I was taking it to a church get-together). The cake burnt around the edges before the middle of it even got done.

Has anyone tried to cook a cake this way before and had success with it?

Christy, I've never heard of a crock-pot cake, but maybe someone else on here has. I'm sorry the cake didn't live up to its name. Triple Chocolate Surprise sounds really good to me. What did you end up taking to your church get-together?
