Shopping for New Bathroom Scales

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive January 2004: Shopping for New Bathroom Scales

My old scales are showing wear and tear, and I've never liked them that much anyway. Do any of you have any that you would recommend? I have been thinking about digital ones. I have been avoiding weighing lately, and the pounds have crept up. I need to start keeping a closer watch on my weight. I also would like to know where you got your scales and approximately how much you gave for them if you can remember. Thanks!

I just bought a new one. It is sunbeam digital and I paid $20 for it from walmart. I like it and I know it is accurate as it says the same weight as my doctors scale.

I've gotten digital the past two times i must be getting bummer ones though because every time i hop on it like within 5 seconds of it it tells me different weights. My suggestion would be to get the old fashion ones i guess if you can find them lol.

We use to have a digital, but it did the same thing Brandy described. Jumped around alot. We now just have a cheapy one that isn't digital. My FIL works for the state in the weights and measures department and he tested it for us and it's right on. Works for us! It was like $5.00.

We have a Tanita digital that I got at Costco. I don't remember the price but it's great. It has 2 programs and gives you weight and has automatic foot sensors to calculate total body fat percentage as per your height and weight.
