ENVIRO CLEANER OWNERS: how long have you had one?

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive January 2004: ENVIRO CLEANER OWNERS: how long have you had one?
By Dana on Sunday, January 25, 2004 - 10:54 am:

Our Sears stopped carrying the product due to returns. I'm just wondering what is up with that?

I finally did find one at Lowes. They have 2 of the hand held models. No where else has them. I am finding "THE SHARK" everywhere. Sears was loaded with them (although $100 models only).

Have you guys had troubles? From the recent posts, it seems like a great purchase. And at least one of you has tried the Shark and liked the Eureka brand better.

I just really want to make sure I am spending my money wisely. It's really tight right now, but oh, I just keep looking at the crud around the counter and stove line. EWWWWW! I want it gone! Soap scum too!

Thanks for all the help. I know I've riden this topic into the ground by now.

I got mine at Wal-Mart for about $40 last year. I couldn't get over how EASY it is to clean my floors. I HATE mopping and always aggravate my back doing so. The Envirosteamer does a great job with little effort. I've never seen the hand held one.

Just did a google search and there appears to be several versions. Mine is the most simple basic one. Not sure if it's on the market any longer.

I've had mine about a year and a half, with no problems. I love it!

I have had mine since they first came out.
My ONLY problem is on the original model the cloth didn't really attach and can come off easily.
Beyond that no problems at all.
My floors have never been cleaner.
I have had the hand held version for several months and love it too. I bought the shark and returned it. The envirosteamer works the best in my opinion.

Thanks everyone!

Went to Lowe's with my mom, cause she wanted one too! Well, the other day there were two, she bought the last one today. It was on clearance for $30. So I will be borrowing hers. I'm cleaning with it now. Again, the hand held. I don't really see anything "melting", but then again, there is a lot of crud in the cracks of the counter/stove top.

Couldn't find the floor model ANYWHERE!

Dana, if you are still looking for one, I found one here:
http://www.shopnbc.com/product/?familyid=G60685&subcollections=Store1&googlecrawl=true&track=-20201

It is on clearance for $39.96 and free shipping. HTH! :)

Thanks so much! I think I just might do that. That free shipping really makes the difference.

As I mentioned, we finally found the last Hot Shot steamer (hand held) the other day. Mom bought it and I tried out. I can't say I was very impressed at all. It did nicely around the sink, but that was the only area I noticed a difference. It didn't even take the folds out of my silky curtains that have been hanging for some time now. Plus it dripped water on them.

I think the floor model may be much more useful.
THANKS!

I found the floor one at Kohl's on sale for about 30 dollars today!

We don't have a Kohls. I think Eureka is going to stop making the product. Everywhere I have seen or heard about them, they are on clearance.
