They were calling for an inch of snow last night....

I have been a little worried of the lack of snow our area has received (considering this into amount of water this provides for us). Last night they were calling for less than an inch of snow and guess what, we have at least 5 or 6 inches!

By Kernkate on Saturday, January 24, 2004 - 09:50 am:

Better you then me Marg, we just got a dusting here!! But tomorrow night I think we are in for some. You probably will get more your way by what the weather channel is saying...Happy Shoveling:)

By Marg on Saturday, January 24, 2004 - 11:30 am:

It's still snowing here!

However, when I went out it's as light as styrofoam balls. It's really silly, you can brush it away. I guess because it's soo cold.

They are saying we will get some flurries here tonight, but rain and sleet tomorrow. Yuck!!!!!!

By Dananivyboo1 on Saturday, January 24, 2004 - 09:19 pm:

Marg, I'm in PA too, but we only got the inch of snow you were supposed to get. Supposely we may get somethign tonight also, so we'll see.

By Bobbie on Saturday, January 24, 2004 - 09:46 pm:

Here in my area of Ohio. We got three to four inches of snow last night. But they are calling for a major storm tomorrow into Monday. We are looking at possibly a foot of snow by Monday afternoon. So for all you in PA I am sure some of it might be coming your way.

By Dawnk777 on Sunday, January 25, 2004 - 01:06 am:

4 inches on Friday, maybe an inch tonight and 4-6 or more on Monday! Ugh! Getting tired of snow now.

By Texannie on Sunday, January 25, 2004 - 09:26 am:

gonna be 70 here today ;)

By Colette on Sunday, January 25, 2004 - 10:17 am:

It's supposed to snow here tomorrow night through Wednesday. We've been pretty lucky so far, I don't mind 6-12 inches total on the ground, because it will melt quick in the spring. But I hate 12+ because it takes forever for it to leave.

We have 3-4 in. here where I live in North Carolina, and it's still snowing. I think we were supposed to get less snow and mainly freezing rain and sleet. I wish that it would continue to snow until the precipitation stops because it is so much more difficult to travel in the ice and freezing rain.

Right now I'd welcome a ton of snow, if it would bring the temp up. We can't seem to get away from this -35 with the wind chill thing.
We're supposed to have a storm over night, so I'm sure school will be cancelled again. It's going to start tonite, and continue all day tomorrow. Oh well, at least we won't be rushing around. :o)

By Tonya on Sunday, January 25, 2004 - 08:43 pm:

They are calling for 8 inches of snow and 2-3 inches of ice within the next 2 days here yucky yucky yucky.

We have way to much snow now almost 7 inches alreayd and it is way to cold colder than we normally ever get here in Michigan.

By Bobbie on Sunday, January 25, 2004 - 09:32 pm:

Same here Tonya. It is snowing right now...

By Marg on Monday, January 26, 2004 - 07:20 am:

We got another good 6 inches. Everyone is home today. It's supposed to do stuff tomorrow and Wednesday, they might not have school all week.

By Kernkate on Monday, January 26, 2004 - 08:51 am:

It seems like for a change, southern PA is getting the snow and us up north are very lucky!
I am sure by Wednesday we will have some snow and ice. They are calling for 4-8 inches of snow here, Tuesday into Wednesday.
Grab that shovel again Marg:)

By Debbie on Monday, January 26, 2004 - 09:38 am:

We just got a light dusting of snow last night. We had 2 inches on Friday. It is snowing now and we are suppose to get a few inches today and a few more tomorrow. I just hate driving in it since it is all new to me. I have to go across town this morning and I am not looking forward to it.

By Tonya on Monday, January 26, 2004 - 09:23 pm:

The ice started here around 5pm tonight and is still going but should be turning to snow soon and by 12pm tomorrow we could have 5-8 more inches of snow on top of 2-3 inches of the ice. YUCK YUCK YUCK!

Now is probably when I will go into labor when we have to drive in this yucky stuff but that would be OK with me.

By Colette on Tuesday, January 27, 2004 - 05:43 am:

On it's way here, we are supposed to get 6-12 inches...at this rate, we will be losing Feb and April vacation....

By Dawnk777 on Tuesday, January 27, 2004 - 07:27 am:

Got 4 inches during the day yesterday, 2 more since we shoveled and could get an inch more for a total of about 7. School is going on normally all over WI.
