Enviro Steamer, new thread: QUESTIONS

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive January 2004: Enviro Steamer, new thread: QUESTIONS
By Dana on Thursday, January 22, 2004 - 08:25 pm:

Would you recommend the hand held or the floor model?

Does the hand held even do the tile floors?

What do you clean w/ your steamer and please tell me the model you use.

Thanks so much!

Hand held does NOT really do floors. It doesn't hold a lot of water so would take forever to do them.
I have both.
I use the Floor model for floors only.
The hand held I use for cleaning my tile countertops, shower, faucets, toilets, steaming my clothes, cleaning the grill, etc........

bumping. I found the hand held at Lowes. NEeding to know how much use it is getting from those who have one.

Still want to know about those who have the floor model.

I was going to ask where you live Dana! I am sorry our Kmart had at least 20 sitting on a pile right up front. I'm truly sorry.

By Marg on Friday, January 23, 2004 - 08:52 am:

Maybe you could ask them if they are going to get any in.

By Kolbysmom on Friday, January 23, 2004 - 09:03 am:

I'm getting ready to go to Kmart to get one. My DH will probably kill me(lol not really) because he spent almost $200 this time last year for the Hoover.

I have a question for the people who have the floor model. Does it do well getting along the wall? My hoover doesn't, that's the main reason why I'm wanting this one.

By Marg on Friday, January 23, 2004 - 09:10 am:

Not really Nikki, it's curved (or mine is). So I will still have to do something around the corners and walls.

Ok, I went and bought one. I LOVE it!!! I went to K-Mart, Target and Walmart before I finally found it at Kohl's($24.99) Does anyone know how much the hand-held one costs?? I didn't see it at any of the stores either.

By Marg on Friday, January 23, 2004 - 01:30 pm:

LOL Nikki, I felt the same way. I wish Dana had a Kohl's nearby with one in stock! Great Price, what a deal!

I paid $50 for my hand held one almost a year ago. I bought it a Lowes

So do you think I would get more use from the hand held? I have only two floors with tile (kitchen and bath).

By Yjja123 on Friday, January 23, 2004 - 03:42 pm:

It really depends on what you want to use it for. The hand held is too small to do floors effectively but it has 100's of uses. My hubby is always joking that I come up with reasons to use it.
It cleans:
toilets/sinks/faucets/showers/grills/windows/steams clothing/etc...
One of my favorite uses was getting the gunk out of corners. I always tried to get the grime out of the edge where my countertop hit the wall no luck with toothbrushes but the steamer had it out in seconds---same with my floor base boards.
