Need ideas/sayings

I've been put in charge of a project in our county. I'm working with the director of the Miss ______ pageant. I have to come up with gifts for the contestants. There will be 6 nights of activities and I'll need a gift for each night. The gift doesn't have to relate to the activity. Just a small, inspirational/thinking of you/good luck gift.

I need some ideas. I'm drawing a complete blank. Does anyone have any favorite sayings? I'm thinking I could play off of a saying to come up with a gift idea.

Or, have you received a cute little gift that you've really liked? It doesn't need to be expensive, but cost is not a concern (I'm not paying for it!!). We are giving one nice gift at a formal dinner and that will be a rhinestone bracelet. The rest will mostly be for fun.

Thanks :)

Are there any restaurants that would donate gift certificates? I know alot of them around here do that because they get free advertising with it!

Or what about some department stores doing the same thing?

Ok, fill in the blank. Is it the Miss "Name of Your Town" pagent or is it the Miss Potato pagent? Because, I would tie-in to the theme of the pagent. If it is the name of the town, I'd give them a copy of the first newspaper one day, a key to the town/city one day, etc. If it was the Miss Potato pagent, I'd tie-in to that theme. If it has something to do with being a woman/young woman or girl, I'd tie-in to the specialness of being a woman -- a book on women in history, a book about women's friendships, beauty items, etc.

If you could be more specific, I can probably come up with some nice quotes.

Hope this helps.

LOL Robin....the miss potato pageant LOL

It is the name of our county. The winner then goes to the Miss Utah pageant and then that winner onto Miss America.

There is no theme. It's wide open. That's why I'm having a problem LOL If there was an idea to base everything around that would be great.

There is a dress rehearsal night, and I was thinking something to do with "good luck".

There is a hot tub night where they will be practicing modeling their swimwear and then relaxing in the hot-tub afterwards.

There is a talent night, where everyone will do their talent and be critiqued (sp)

Annie, we are doing the gift baskets full of donated services/goodies for the winner and her attendants. :)

I also have to have judges gifts (I was thinking a nice plant) and 25 small gifts for the stage crew and tech crew. (just doing bags of candy with a cute "thank you" message)

One idea I've had:
We have a stamp that says "happiness is in the journey" and we have a stamp that has two teddybears, one pulling the other in a wagon. (on a journey :)). I was going to do something cute with scrapbooking paper and those two stamps. Like make a really cute tag. Then fill a small decorative wagon with candies and wrap in celophane.
