When we got the kids home from school, I went searching for my Rhapsody in Blue/American in Paris Gershwin cd to listen to the music, since Emily's band is playing Rhapsody in Blue at their spring concert. I happen to love this music. I open up the 5-disc cd changer, see an empty spot, load it to play right away and go upstairs to start working on dinner. As the Gershwin cd comes to a close, I call Emily up to make the apple muffins to go with the chili I was making.

While she's in the kitchen mixing the muffins, she asks, "Why do you have Christmas music on?" The next disc in the changer was the soundtrack from A Charlie Brown Christmas. I tell her well, not all the music is Christmasy. So, we continue to listen to it as we work on supper.

Sarah ventures down to the kitchen because she's hungry and the chili smells good. By this time, Nat King Cole is singing Christmas carols. She asks me why do I have Christmas music on the cd player? I tell her it was just there and we didn't want to go downstairs to change it.

So, supper gets finished. Gary has missed his deadline of when he thought he would be home, so the kids and I start eating our salads. He arrives shortly after that. He also notices that Christmas music is coming up from downstairs and asks why! I think by this time Bing Crosby was singing! LOL!

I ask, "Do I have to explain this a third time?" I told him, I put in the Gershwin cd and didn't look at what else was on the cd player!" LOL!

Oh, after Bing Crosby was the soundtrack to Music Man and I did listen to that, too! Then it was time for American Idol. (Man, some of them are very very good and some of them are just plain AWFUL and then don't want to believe they are AWFUL!)

I guess it's time to go put those Christmas cds away now, huh?

Dawn (chili, apple muffins, and salad was quite good, too and it was NICE to not have to go outside!)

It was only slightly warmer when we ate supper. (was an indoor recess day today, thank goodness, even too cold for me!)

Funny having to explain it three different times, too!
