Attachment to an email saying "HI" - Do NOT, NOT NOT open it

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive January 2004: Attachment to an email saying "HI" - Do NOT, NOT NOT open it
By Ginny~moderator on Monday, January 19, 2004 - 08:01 pm:

The attachment is probably the new and nasty Beagle virus/worm, which is starting in Australia and will spread like crazy.

DO UPDATE YOUR VIRUS PROTECTION - and use it. Don't open attachments, even from people you know. Worms take over your addressbook and email themselves to everyone you know, and a worm may have taken over a friend's computer.

If you get an attachment, email the person and ask them if they did send you an attachment before you open it. PROTECT YOUR COMPUTER - and your email friends..

Just another note. Anytime...i do mean anytime you send an attachment, put it in the note. I always say btw I am attaching such and such, or if it a forward that for some reason i didn't copy and paste I will type at the top attached it such and such and the reason I am passing it on. If I dont' get info like that I delete it.
