Have any of you experienced this? I think that being pregnant absolutely shattered my metabolism. I was always tiny before Kaitlyn was born (almost 8 months ago) and i'll admit i've never had the best eating habits but then again I never gained weight too fast. After having Kaitlyn it seems like even looking at food makes me gain weight. I didn't mind it too much at first but now i'm getting really unhappy that only 1 pair of pants fit and I have to wear baggy shirts or sweaters so no one can tell how much i've gained. Pre-pregnancy I was about 130-133 and now I can seem to get under 140. FYI- I did lose all the preggo weight- then DH came home!!

So, i'm thinking of pilates. Anyone try it? It seems like something I can do while Kaitlyn is napping and I dont have to leave the house.

Pilates is very good . I highly recommend it and you don't have to leave home to do it. Best of luck and be patient.

Melissa the same thing happened to me. Before I got pregnant I was 115 and now I am 127. At my most pregnant I was 150 so I have lost most of it but my metabolism is soooo different. Oh well.

I put on 58 lbs with ds. Didn't lose much afer ds was born. I was nursing for 14 months and constantly snacking. I mean I went from a size 6 pre pregnancy to a size 12 !!then one day ds decided to wean at 14 months. I stopped being hungry all the time and with moderate exercise and my vegan lifestyle I lost all of those 58 lbs and then some. So I guess it was the breastfeeding hormones that made me a hungry all the time.
I don't know about pilates.I used The Firm tapes, all 3 volumes and that really helped. It's a combo of aerobic/cardio with weights/strength training.
Goodluck!
