Trina, I really liked your art ideas but have no clue as to what oak tag is nor do I know what KWIM is...help! I started a new subject because I wasn't sure if you'd see my reply to your suggestions in my original post. Thanks.

LOL! KWIM = "know what I mean".

Oak tag (or is it Oat tag?) is thick card stock paper. Any heavy duty paper that will withstand heavy coloring and then painting over with tempera paint will work. You can buy Scratch-Art paper for the same effect but I like having the kids go through the whole process to make the scratch paper themselves. However, this means it's not a one day project.
