By Wandilu on Monday, January 12, 2004 - 04:11 pm:

ok,this is a very silly question, but keep in mind that i am still very new with computers,so every day is still a learning process. anyway, what does BUMP mean ?

By Trina~moderator on Monday, January 12, 2004 - 04:14 pm:

To "Bump" a post is to put it back on top of the list of messages on the board. The most recent active posts stay at the top. Old posts that haven't been getting replies sink down to the bottom. Hope that helps. :)

By Wandilu on Monday, January 12, 2004 - 06:22 pm:

do you simply write the word bump,or is there a process that you go through?

By Ginny~moderator on Monday, January 12, 2004 - 06:34 pm:

Some of us just write the word "bump"; some, like Karen or Claire, have these really nifty smiley bump things; and some, like me, who have just discovered the joys of formatting, have learned how to make a word blink.

People bump any thread they want to stay near the top and in view - for example, if someone is trying to get a response from a particular person, or has a question that hasn't been responded to. It is by no means limited to the moderators.

So, in short (NOT), feel free to bump.
