Tip for forgetful Moms like me!

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive January 2004: Tip for forgetful Moms like me!

I was forgeting appointment and always forgot to bring my son's lunch on Fridays. (Only day I was supposed to bring lunch.)

Yahoo calendar has a free service where they email every friday and tell you to bring lunch. This is just perfect for me because I am online every morning. I feel much more organized now.

Sounds like a plan!

I have a calendar in the kitchen and write everything down, all appts., etc.. I check it often to be sure I don't forget anything. So far so good!

I have a large calendar on my desk that I write everything on. This calendar is going home with me when I am off on maternity leave so I can continue the process or no one in my home will ever get to anything when they are suppose to.

I use the calender in Outlook.

My work schedule is different every month. I have never missed a day of work, but I forget other stuff. I have a calendar in my kitchen and a calendar down by my computer AND a calendar in my purse. So, it is a lot of work to write my stuff down in 3 places, but then no matter where I am, I can quickly glance at my schedule. Actually, it doesn't take that long to write out my work schedule. Since I'm often in the basement and often upstairs, I would hate to have to run to either place to always check my schedule!

For things I don't want to forget, then I enter them into the calendar into Outlook. Then I get an audible alarm as well as the message that pops up. It has come in handy on more than one occasion that I would have forgotten about otherwise.

I have a large calendar that hangs on my basement door which is in my kitchen, I also have a large calendar by my computer, and I have a 2 year planner that I carry in my purse. Belive me it helps. My husbands family tells me Im to organized but, that's just me, they probaly feel like this because they are not organized.

So, I'm not the only one with 3 calendars, then! LOL! I usually gather them all together and write the work schedule on them all at once!
