It is snowing here in Virginia! Woohoo! We have an inch or two. My kids were thrilled when they woke up this morning!

By Kernkate on Friday, January 9, 2004 - 08:30 am:

I am glad you guys are getting it.:)..Its not suppose to hit PA this time.
My kids want snow so bad to use their new sleds they got for Christmas. But so far we have not had enough for them to use them. I am sure we will get snow sooner or later.
I would rather the snow then the frigid temps. we are having. The temp here right now is 1...Brrrrrrr.
Enjoy the white stuff:)

By Marcia on Friday, January 9, 2004 - 08:43 am:

Glad you are enjoying it. We don't have too much snow, but it's -10F with a -30 wind chill.
Too cold for human life!!! Still, off we go to school....

By Jackie on Friday, January 9, 2004 - 08:46 am:

Yes it is snowing, Iam NOT thrilled with it. People drive horrible around here in the snow, it makes everything twice as worst

By Tonya on Friday, January 9, 2004 - 09:07 am:

I have snow and I don't want anymore. It is right now 9 above with a -2 wind chill. I wanted this weather when I was off not now that I am back to work and having to drive in it. I really cannot remember when we have had such a cold spell here in Michigan at least where I am from. I mean winter always had its cold moments but never so many days in a row with any - numbers. And we haven't been out of the teens in over a week.

By Shellyg on Friday, January 9, 2004 - 10:51 am:

How do you guys do it? How do you get from point A to point B without freezing, that is crazy!
I love in So. California, beach area. Lived here all my life and this is one of the coldest winters that I can remember. It was 45 degrees yesterday and I did'nt want to leave the house. After reading about everyones snow I realize what a whimp I am!

By Mommyathome on Friday, January 9, 2004 - 10:54 am:

Woo Hoo!! I love snow! Enjoy it :)

By Debbie on Friday, January 9, 2004 - 01:55 pm:

It is snowing here too. Just light snow. I can handle the snow. I just hate the wind. It was really cold here this week with several days -0 with the wind chill. I just HATE IT!!! I just keep thinking....only a few more months, only a few more months.

By Fraggle on Friday, January 9, 2004 - 02:00 pm:

I wish it would snow here so it would warm up. We are in our second day of single digit temps (negative teens at night)-with probably two more to go. I went out to get more wood and froze as soon as I went out. I'm just glad that we can stay home by our woodstove and don't have to go out.

About 4-6 inches here on the east coast of WI. Lake effect snow from Lake Michigan. It has been snowing off and on ALL day!

So, I'm lazy and haven't gotten my tree down yet (fake) and my Christmas lights are still outside, so I had everything lit up for my book discussion group tonight! LOL! Okay, maybe over the weekend, we will get the tree up in the attic. It shouldn't be that hard to take the tree down, since we never really finished trimming it! It has about half the ornaments it usually does. We just never got around to it! I was working a lot in December. Also, we didn't have snow in December. It is so funny to drive around Sheboygan and see so many people who still are lighting their Christmas lights! I'm by far not the only one in this town with their tree still up!

By My2girlygirls on Saturday, January 10, 2004 - 10:11 am:

The snow stopped last night, now it is just COLD! It is 18 right now. BBBRRRRRRRRRR.....
Sounds like a good stay inside day to me!

By Jodie on Saturday, January 10, 2004 - 10:53 am:

It's too darn cold here too. Ds and I both come home with a frostnip on our fingers and toes inspite of really bundling up and mittens and all !! Too cold for normal humans , I agree! BRRRRRRRRRR!!!!It's supposed to snow here on Monday. Maybe it'll warm up a bit. This is way too frigid for anything and yet got to go get groceries, take DS to Gymboree , got to drag my self to the gym , never ends !Actually already dragged myself to the gym and back . Want to keep up with my resolution. I was actually pleasantly surprised to see so many people there at 6 AM on a frigid morning .

Freezing???I woke up this morning to see my breath. At some piont lastnight (I think it was around -9 or colder) my oil tank froze! YUP froze we have no heat I shipped my DD to my moms to see if we could get some heat. That was at 6:30 this morning its now 12:35 and still no heat. My tank is outside, so normally when we get oil it's obviuosly #1 heating oil.....Yeah okay so I'm thinking while looking at my last oil bill then why did they put and charge me for #2 heating oil...So I call the oil company, you know what she said, well I'm sorry when you called last time to request a fill up on your tank you never specified what type you wanted so we sent the driver with #2. Now I'm P*$$ED b/c not only is she lally gaging an answer to there mistake but she is trying to make me feel like its my fault. I told her look first off I'm on an auto delivery service so acctualy I should not have had to call to request any delivery of any oil right?! And second I have had your oil company now for 4 years and have never had to secify anything...GGRRR...I told DBF we need to find a diffrent oil company, and invest in a wood stove!
I just hope we get heat before tonight. Keeping fingures very crossed he gets it....

Well, it's all the way up to 6 degrees today. Bka - I'd be upset too. Dh is heading up to Maine to snowboard tomorrow and I think he's nuts. It is WAY to cold, it was -32 yesterday morning up in Newry. I hope you have heat soon.
