Need to storm heaven on behalf of my son

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive January 2004: Need to storm heaven on behalf of my son
By Wandilu on Thursday, January 8, 2004 - 01:40 pm:

i really need as many prayers as i can get.a little over 6 months ago things were going great for my son and his wife.he had a really good job that paid very well with benefits, and ,along with our help and the help of her parents,we physically built them a small but very adorable house out in the country.they decided that they wanted to have another baby.my son is the sole provider,as they agreed early on that my dil would stay home with the children.so.just when they found out that they had concieved (this is their 3rd child, the others are 2 and 3 )his company did a "downsizing" and totally did away with his position, leaving him jobless !!!! he has had no luck finding a job ,and his wife can't work because she's pregnant and she has difficult pregnacies.they are very devout christians, and i know that God is aware of whats going on.but i was so impressed with how things worked out so fast and how God moved so quickly to help amy and mike in their resent hard situation ,and i truelly believe it was partly because so many people were praying for them.so if you will, please pray for richard and meridith.also, his unemployment has run out so they now have no more money coming in (except for what odd jobs he has been able to find )thank you all for your prayers.

Richard and Meridith will be in my prayers, too. What line of work is he in?

It just proves that even when our children grow up and start their own families, we still worry like crazy for them. I'm in the process of learning that myself (getting closer, at least).

Consider prayers sent up from me.

Praying for them both!

My brother in law lost his job 2 years ago and was out of a job for over a year. My sister is a stay at home mom and they have 3 kids going to private school, one in which is sort of a special needs kid. Anyway, he finally did end up with a job that he LOVES and is great for him. I beleive the same will happen in time for your son and his family. I know it's a hard time and will keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

By Mrsclark on Friday, January 9, 2004 - 06:04 am:

Prayers for them -- hugs, too. It's always darkest before the dawn. This, too, shall pass and I'm sure something even better is waiting around the next corner! If your heart and mind are in the right place, it always gets brighter again.
