I was making meatloaf.

You know how meat leaves grease on your hands after squishing it around? It is so gross. I washed w/ warm as well as cold to get that film off of me. Then I remembered my Dawn detergent. I was certain that would clean it off. It did, no surprise.

But here's the really cool surprise. I washed my hand to reach something out of the cabinet. I still needed to squish the meat. So after cleaning, I squished. Then I was greasy again. Went to wash, and OMG! The film came right off! Because I had washed w/ Dawn before squishing, the filmy grease did not coat my hand. The meat was still around the tops of my fingers around my nails..greasy and filmy, so I washed again w/ Dawn making sure to wash that area better. Sure enough, after mixing meat and rinsing hands, it all came off with ease.

So, the tip of the day is to wash your hands with Dawn detergent BEFORE working w/ fatty or oily foods. It should wash off much easier.
