It looks like I will soon get a new computer, yippee, a Sony at that! And it looks like dh is going to get me a digital camera a Fuji!

He was speaking to some picture/framing guy he knows and this guy said Fuji cameras do not make the pictures look fuzzy due to and dh explained why... Anyone else have a Fuji digital camera and recommendations on any. Dh still likes the "film" cameras, so this digital is mostly for me and my computer purposes.

I'm not familiar with Fugi digital cameras, as I've only owned one Kodak and 2 Sony's. I'm sure other members here have used them before.

Maybe Brandy knows something about them - she's a camera-holic! LOL

I've had a Fujifilm digital camera for 2 or 3 years now and love it. However, it's only a 2 mg, and I'm considering upgrading.

I still prefer "film cameras" too LOL. We do have a digital camera that we use for sending pics to family though.

Okay here i am lol i love my film camera but i truely love my digital cameras too.Now i have never used a Fuji camera or fuji film really either although it's cheaper i've always had awesome luck with kodak film. Now i'm not saying the fuji digital won't be good because i don't know. You do want to make sure that if you want to make anything over a 8x10 it should be fine to get a 2 mp although most people recommend a higher megapixel. I have a 2 mp and a 5.1 and a 6.3 the higher the mp is the better quality you get.I suggest a 5 simply because right now the 5.1 i have has went down quite a bit in the past year.Hopefully i have helped you and not confused you more lol.If you want to talk about it email me at mckinb060793@aol.com = )

I've never used Fuji, but we have an Olympus and I just love it. I love to be able to just download them onto the computer and send to family and friends. No money spent on developing and if you shop around you can find good photo paper at a decent price and just print your own pictures.

Marg we purchased a fuji digital camera a few weeks ago. and I takes wonderful pictures. We had them developed at hubbys work and they came our real good. though when you look for a camera try to find one with 3 or more pixels. the more pixels your camera has the better quality your pictures are. the one we go is a 3 and it looks like a regular picture from a film camera. my BIL is a computer wiz we get all info from him

Yes, I was told that images are captured in circles and Fuji is the only one that captures in squares leaving a clearer digital picture.

Actually as far as i know they are all dpi which is dots per inch which means a circle i could be wrong though = ) ...I have a canon digital a canon regular 35 mm and a sony digital all of them look wonderful.

We just bought a canon powershot. As soon as I find the time to read the manual and figure out how to use it I'll be all set. Dh has taken some pics with it and they've come out great.

I have an Olympus Digital camera and love it.

I have a Fuji digital, and I love it. It has an amazing zoom!! It's only a 2mp, and I would go for higher next time, too. This was my first, and I didn't want to spend more than I did.
I've printed 8x10s on my own printer, and you'd never know they weren't professionally done.

We have a Canon G3 Powershot. The thing is, though, even though DH has a very fancy Canon digital camera for work, provided by his company, he keeps taking the family one to work with him because sometimes it's easier to use than his big company box. That leaves us at home stuck with the film camera, or just no camera at all, if we don't want to bother with the film camera! Grrr. He is a newspaper photographer and he loves to point out the pictures he took with the G3. Sarah and I are have been complaining that we never can find the thing. Well, it's because he always has it! Grrr. I think we are going to have to buy another digital camera and just let him use that one for work.

Our G3 takes beautiful pictures. It is a 4 megapixel camera. Now there is a G5, which has 5 megapixels.

DH is thinking of getting the Canon A80 for us at home. It's a slightly cheaper Canon, but still has 4 megapixels. Something has to be done, because it's so unfair that we finally get a personal digital camera and then it's never home.

Just bumping this up = )

Just to let you know, while megapixel is important, you want to make sure that the camera is capable of high resolution photos because if you ever want to blow it up to an 8x10 or bigger, you are going to need at least a 1600x1400 resolution. I use a Sony Mavica 4 megapixel camera that is capable of 2272x1704 resolution size. Basically the lower the resolution number, the quality of enlarged pictures goes down. Example, if you take a small picture (640x480 resolution) and blow it up to an 8x10 photo, it will look very pixelated and low quality. If you take the picture in the 1600x1400 size, the picture will ALREADY be in a large format so you don't have to enlarge it. I hope I explained it clearly.
