Finally :)

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive September 2007: Finally :)
By Mrsheidi on Sunday, September 16, 2007 - 07:09 pm:

We are closing on a house October 25th! :) It's in a very nice neighborhood that is close to everything we need so we are more than excited to move out of our little apartment and unpack all our boxes!!
I posted pictures if you want to see it on the photo board. I'm so excited to STAY in one place for a LONG time!!

On a side note, I investigated to make sure that Scott was taken off the Army Reserve list and "surprise!", he wasn't...the Army never surprises me anymore when it comes to not doing what they promise. SO...I wrote a huge email to his commander in CA and they are sending his discharge papers soon!!! YEAH!!! No more deployments! (We hope...I wouldn't put it past the army to "change the rules" even after he served almost a decade in the army...2 years longer than his original contract.)

congrats on the new home and yes the army is good at doing things they shouldn't do...

Thanks you guys! Dandjmom, my mother is doing ok. Thanks for asking. She is *still* in MD, which pains me to no end. I've seriously applied at 2 places and both of them denied her based on her psychiatric history. She "ran away" in her wheelchair one day because she had a UTI and was upset. A cop found her outside wheeling herself down the street. She hasn't done it since, but that one episode caused them to watch her constantly for months thereafter.

So, I'm going to just get her an I.D., get her out here, and then take care of her until someone takes her in. I'll call the office of aging this week and see what I can do from here and if she gets denied again, what the course of action is.

Congrats on your new home. I looked at the pictures, and it is beautiful! I would love to live across the street from a park.

Congrats on the new house, it is SO beautiful! Sorry about your mom, I know it must hurt you that she is still in MD. I hope you are able to get everything taken care of soon.
