Has Anyone Ordered From Domestications? (the bedding/bath place)

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive August 2007: Has Anyone Ordered From Domestications? (the bedding/bath place)

Has anyone ever ordered a quilt or bedding set from Domestications?? I'm wondering about the quality. The prices are very low so it makes me a little suspicious. Any experiences you've had with the products or company would be appreciated! Thanks!

It was years ago but I ordered a bedding set. It was not very good quality.

Years ago..........ditto Yvonne.......the fabric was rough (low thread count), faded easily, threads came apart......didn't really matter to me at the time because it was for a kid's room, and I didn't expect it to last long anyway. LOL

I still have curtains up that I got from Domestications in 1994. I think it depends on what you buy, and balancing the price against what you think the price should be for "good" quality. I didn't get any bedding from Domestications.

Oh dear. Has anyone ordered a quilt and sham recently? Can you think of any quality brands that have many to choose from? I need sage green and lavender, and Domestications has the perfect one looks wise. I've checked Pottery Barn and Laura Ashley and not found the right thing. I really don't know other bedding brands.

Linens n Things, Bed Bath and Beyond, JC Penny, Herberger's, I've had good Luck at all of these.

Check Overstock and SmartBargains. I get all of my bedding at SmartBargains, and you can sort by color. :)

I've ordered from them a few times, Once for a comforter & sham set and it was very nice quality, and once for a quilt which was very nice, but thin. So I guess the quality left something to be desired, but I didn't mind beacause it was still very pretty :)

I've ordered several things. Some I was thrilled with, and others that I hated. The customer service was great, and I returned what I didn't like without any hassle.

I like JcPenny and Spiegel for bedding. Everything I have bought from them has lasted for years.
The set we bought from Domestication fell apart after a few months. The fabric was scratchy and it simply looked cheap.
