Anybody use Craigslist? Oh my goodness. I have become so addicted to it. I swear I think I may need a 12 step program to overcome this LOL...

We have bought and sold A lot these last few weeks. Luckily, we have sold more then we bought. My husband loves it, he sold one of his "spare" cars within 2 days. Normally he would list in the classified section of the newspaper and then have to pay for the listing. Here he did it for free.
My son loves it, he finally can get money for all those "Collectables" in his room. Really not collectables in the money making way. He just hates to part with anything and doesnt just want to give them away.

I always hate thought of having yard sales. So hes made a bit of money and hes loving it. I am loving getting rid of stuff out of my clutterd house.
It really is addicting. I am constantly looking around the house seeing what else isnt being used and what else I can post.

So who else uses it?

I used it when I was getting rid of all my DD's things... crib, changing table, portable crib, etc., and I LOVED it! We are currently using it to sell some of my grandmother's furniture.

It can be very addicting, but, I think, very worth it! I LOVE just "looking around"!

I've bought a lot but have never sold anything. Not sure what the trick is for selling, but I don't over price stuff and no one even bites at my posts.

Pictures and persistence... you have to have pictures and you have to constantly relist! It's just like a newspaper. You have to keep putting the ad back up!

Yes, I would agree with the pictures. I only look at ads with pictures. I mean you want to know what your getting. Also I check out the prices of other things that are the same or similar . That way I am not pricing too high.
For example, we had a Little Tykes climber outside. It about 12 yrs old, in good condition, just some fading. There were several on there, but the higher price ones were not selling. I priced it at 25$, after all it was 12 yrs old. I had countless emails for it.It does seem like the baby/kids clothes dont sell as fast. I dont know why.

I just sold our dining room set, loveseat, and sofa chairs in one day! And, we're not even there in MD! We had our neighbors let them in and see them.

I agree...pictures DO help. :) I also look at real estate on there too since there are a lot of for-sale-by-owners on there too.

I never thought to relist. I thought that would be annoying to see it keep appearing. I guess that is my problem. But I figure if I don't get a reply on the first post no one wanted it anyway.

How often are you supposed to relist?? They last for 45 days, right? But after the first few days they are pushed to the bottom by new items, but I can't imagine that you are supposed to keep relisting before your 45 days, are you??
