...that it is only about 3 months before time to do "SECRET SANTA " again !!!!! Seems like we just did it a few weeks ago .Time flys by any more. I've already picked out a couple of things for my recipient !!

Oh Wandilu - puleeeze!! I still have to get through my firm's annual softball game and picnic (this Friday), Labor Day, a son's birthday in September, Thanksgiving, my granddaughter's birthday, and my birthday before I even begin to think of Christmas. I don't want to think about it yet.

Wandilu...you are right up my alley. I just bought several Christmas presents and only have two people left (including the secret santa one) :)
it is 95 degrees here---that doesn't prevent me from finishing my shopping early. LOL.

Yvonne, *how* do you do it?!?

I haven't even begun to even think about what I'm getting anyone for Christmas. Heck, my nephew's b'day is in 4 days, then comes September - Jeff's b'day, mine the day after, both my sisters will be here that week and both of their b'days are in September as well....also my kids' grandmother........

November, my anniversary & Thanksgiving, then December hits us hard - Jules' b'day, DH's b'day, Jen's b'day, the kids' grandfather's b'day...my ex's b'day is actually the day before DH (but who cares about *him*, right? LOL).....

I don't know how you early shoppers get ideas and do it, and I really wish I could *learn* to do that too...........although I DO love the hustle and bustle of the Christmas rush. Yes, I'm crazy.

I do want to have my shopping done before we leave on vacation on Nov. 30 though. We won't be back until Dec. 14, and I plan on doing an artificial tree this year and setting it up before we leave too.

Karen--I shop year round. I listen to what people mention they would like (and write it in my gift planner) and keep an eye out for the item. My kids know I shop early so they tend to pour over toy catalogs early. :)
We have the birthday thing too---6 in August, 3 in September, 4 in October, 2 in November.

I do the same thing, I listen to what people say they like and I keep my eye out for it. Two years ago was our first Christmas with our youngest DD's boyfriend.I found out that he loves to cook and he's also a big football fan. So I bought him a football shaped crockpot! He loved it.He's almost worn it out.And with 11 grandkids,4 kids and DH and myself, we have a birthday going on in every month, except one (I think)and multiple's in some .And I always seem to forget them, untill the day before !!

I am a planner (or over-planner as my relatives say) so shopping early comes naturally. You cannot find me at the black Friday sales or shopping right before Christmas. I do not like crowds and I do not like feeling pressured to get a gift right away. I admit, I like shopping but in the "thrill of the hunt" kind of way. I like finding unique gifts or that special something someone wants.

That's so funny. I'm counting down the days until school starts, but haven't thought about Christmas. I really should start buying now. It's gotten way out of hand spending so much on our large family. I'm starting to not enjoy it. :( God bless all you that start so early!
